Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam) said to 'Abdullah bin 'Abbas (radi'Allahu 'anhu):
"..Be mindful of ALLAH, you will find Him before you. Get to know ALLAH in prosperity and He will know you in adversity... And know that victory comes with patience, relief with affliction, and ease with hardship." [Tirmidhi]

-->"And grieve not over them,and be not distressed because of what they plot."(16:127)
When ALLAH takes something away from you, He compensates you with something better, but only if you are patient and seek your reward from Him.
The noble Prophet (Sall'Allahu alaihi wasallam) said:
"ALLAH the Glorious and Exalted said:'When I afflict My Servant in his two dear things (i.e., his eyes), and he endures patiently, I shall compensate them with Paradise.' " [Sahih Al-Bukhari]

'Our ALLAH, give us good in this world, and good in the hereafter,
and safeguard us from the punishment of the Fire.' (Aameen)
